Shivraj directs officers to constitute special ward for treatment of black fungus

Bhopal, May 15 (UNI) With surge in cases of black fungus in the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday directed officials to make special wards in five Government Medical Colleges of the state for the treatment of the disease.

As per official sources, Mr Chauhan instructed senior officers to set up special wards in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Indore and Rewa for the treatment of this disease. During a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister discussed with experts about measures to curtail the spread of coronavirus and sought suggestions from them. For warding off the virus, it is necessary that people follow Covid-appropriate behaviour, he said.
Senior state officials, Dr Madan Gopal, Professor Sachin Chaturvedi, associated with an institution of Delhi and other experts gave their suggestions.
