Solution camp addresses water drainage issues, seven complaints registered for immediate resolution…
Ambala : A special solution camp organized in Ambala addressed several pressing concerns related to water drainage and other civic issues in the region. The camp, aimed at providing direct solutions to the citizens, received a total of seven complaints, most of which were related to the inefficient water drainage systems that have been causing frequent waterlogging in various parts of the city. The complaints highlighted the issues faced by local residents due to stagnant water, especially during the rainy season, which not only disrupts daily life but also poses health hazards.
The authorities at the camp promptly registered the complaints and assured the residents that they would take immediate action to resolve the issues. Among the seven complaints, the majority were related to waterlogging in residential areas, narrow or blocked drainage systems, and inadequate drainage infrastructure that failed to manage the increasing water flow during heavy rains. Some residents also raised concerns regarding the lack of proper maintenance of existing drainage systems, which led to their frequent clogging.
The camp was organized by the Ambala Municipal Corporation (AMC), which has been actively seeking feedback from the citizens to improve the city’s civic infrastructure. The authorities at the camp emphasized the importance of public participation in identifying the root causes of these issues and assured the residents that their grievances would be addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
In response to the complaints, the AMC has promised to undertake a comprehensive review of the city’s drainage system and identify the areas that require immediate attention. They also plan to launch awareness campaigns to educate the public about the proper disposal of waste, which often contributes to the clogging of drainage systems.
While the camp served as an opportunity for residents to voice their concerns, it also highlighted the need for long-term solutions to the water drainage issues in Ambala. Local authorities have pledged to take proactive measures, including upgrading the drainage infrastructure, regular maintenance, and ensuring that new projects are designed with efficient water management systems to avoid future issues.
