Kangra Media persons demand of Press Room and media coordinator

Kangra, Sep 16 (UNI) The journalists fraternity of Kangra on Thursday raised a demand before the Himachal Pradesh government for setting up of a well-equipped Press Room in the mini Secretariat complex at Tehsil chowk in Kangra town so that they could render their professional duties in right perspective.
The journalists raised the demand during a meeting here on Thursday with media coordinator Vishev Chakshu, who assured them that he would take up matter with Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and get the press room opened in mini secretariat shortly. He said he would request the Chief Minister to inaugurate the same personally.
He said that the Chief Minister was eager to strengthen the fourth pillar of democracy in right perspective so that democracy was strengthen further.
Mr Chakshu assured the journalists that they will be kept well informed about the government and party functions as they had lodged a complaint that the media persons were kept away of the government and party functions.
The Media coordinator said that some demands of Hamirpur and Una journalists were accepted by the government and directions were implemented within one day.
The journalists thanked the media coordinator for his positive attitude towards the demands of the journalists.
