Hospitality industry to be open in Himachal during Covid curfew
Shimla, May 6 (UNI) The District Administration on Thursday informed that during Corona curfew tourism department would keep hotels and tourism activities open in compliance of special standard operation issued by the department.
Following the curfew notification by the state government, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Aditya Negi issued guidelines for the Corona curfew. It would continue in the district from May 7 to 0600 hrs to May 17 at 0600 hrs under Section 144. During this time shops of daily consumption items will remain open till six in the evening.
There would be a ban on gathering more than five people at one place during the curfew and 20 people to be allowed to gather for marriage and cremation however it would subject to mandatory permission from the concerned Sub-Divisional Officer.
Barring tourist during the curfew, movement of people would be allowed only for special work like getting vaccinated, getting tested, buying daily items in which medicines, ration and buying vegetables etc. They could be allowed to procure construction materials like Saria and cement etc.
Apart from daily need shops, all other shops and establishments will remain closed moreover auto workshop, dhabas and medicine shops will remain open till 1800 hrs under SOP.
Agricultural and horticultural activities are remained out of ambit of allowed curfew order.
Till May 16 only state offices will be closed moreover most of government offices providing essential services including the central government offices would be open following staggering 50 per cent presence of staff members.
During Corona curfew all banks, ATM and financial services would run with effective strength of 50 per cent staff members.
Employees coming for offices and banks or those coming for other essential services would be allowed after showing their ID card.
The operators of hotels, dhabas and Karyana shops should issue identity cards to their employees so that they could move during the curfew.
The DC said that to keep the essential services smooth and open people could also use private vehicles ensuring 50 per cent occupancy.
