Kolhapur, Feb 19 (UNI) Ichalkaranji police booked a industrialist and other 15 peoples for vandalised Mahavitran’s divisional office in Ichalkaranji town of this district late this evening following disconnected electricity connection for outstanding payment
Gajanan Jadhav, a owner of Hanuman Industries, was attacked divisional office along with 15 other peoples and vandalised the office and beating up employees. In this incident property including furnitures, computers, cabin glass damaged, valued with Rs Two lakhs.
In a press statement, which released by Kolhapur divisional Mahavitran office late this night, electricity connection had disconnected on January 12, under Indian electricity law 2003 section 56(1) for collection outstanding electricity bill of Rs 7.67 lakh of November 2020 month, with giving intimation. Following disconnecting electricity, Mr Jadhav, who losses his temper, attacked on divisional office with other 15 peoples and damaged the property.
Mahavitran’s assistant engineer Vikas Bhardwaj complained with Ichalkaranji city office again St Mr Jadhav and other 15 unknown peoples Police registered a complaint against St Mr Jadhav and 15 others u der IPC section. 153,147, 148,149,270,271,353,332,337452,427,504,506, Peoples property damaged law section 3 and 7, Criminal law regulation section 7 and under epidemic law 1897 section 2,3,4.
Police investigating further of the incident, however no one arrested so far.
