Japan’s foreign minister rides Delhi’s metro on 2-day visit.

During his two-day trip to India, the Japanese foreign minister took a metro ride in the capital city of Delhi. Jaishankar, while delivering a speech at the India-Japan Forum, stated, “Japan is in many ways the exemplary modernizer.”

NEW DELHI: Yoshimasa Hayashi, the foreign minister of Japan, rode the Delhi Metro on Friday while in India for a two-day visit. The Delhi Metro is a well-known project that received Japanese funding.Hayashi has advocated for reform in the investment climate for Japanese companies doing business in India, many of which are looking for a more predictable, open, and stable economic environment in the nation.

According to a Japanese readout, during their Thursday meeting, Hayashi asked External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar for help in enhancing the business climate and for the prompt creation of a shared crediting mechanism.

“Japan is in many ways the exemplary moderniser,” Jaishankar remarked at the India-Japan Forum. Additionally, there is a lot of historical goodwill towards this nation. Separately, Yukiko Okano, the deputy press secretary for the Japanese foreign ministry, claimed that Hayashi had lunch with executives from a number of Japanese companies doing business in India as well as representatives of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII), who informed him of the problems.
