Delhi students asked to wear full-sleeves to school
Delhi government will be taking the help of government school children to attack dengue.
NEW DELHI: On Tuesday, the Minister of Health, Saurabh Bhardwaj, gave instructions to the Directorate of Education and the MCD to take specific actions to protect children from diseases that are transmitted by vectors. In addition to this, he instructed them to advise all of the schools that the children should wear long sleeves or uniforms with long sleeves in order to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes and contracting any diseases that may be carried by them.
Because of the early arrival of the monsoon and the increased likelihood of flooding, the government of Delhi predicts that there will likely be a considerable rise in the number of instances of vector-borne diseases such as dengue during the course of this year. The Delhi government plans to enlist the assistance of students attending government schools in its fight against dengue.
