Woman Arrested for Role in Killing Sister-in-Law in Faridabad
Meenu's death allegedly orchestrated by her husband and sister-in-law over an affair; both arrested.
Faridabad: A woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of her
sister-in-law, Meenu, in a village in Faridabad district. The police had previously arrested the victim’s husband, Vikas, in relation to the crime.
According to police sources, the accused, identified as Raj Rani, had been on the run but was apprehended recently. The investigation revealed that Meenu died from poisoning, allegedly administered by both her husband, Vikas, and his brother’s wife, Raj Rani.
Family members of the deceased filed a complaint stating that Rani and Vikas were having an affair, which Meenu strongly opposed. The affair and the ensuing conflict within the family reportedly led to the tragic incident.
The police had filed a murder case based on the FIR lodged by the victim’s relatives
. Both Vikas and Rani have been remanded to judicial custody as the investigation continues.
