PRS Delhi team gets a facelift with Youth and Oldies

New Delhi: Sarvesh Tiwari, a veteran communications and PR professional was elected as the Chairman of Public Relations Society Delhi at its 3rd Annual General Meeting on Sunday. Tiwari with over two decades of experience, as PR strategist in various govt. and corporate organisations and Vipin Kharbanda, advertising and marketing veteran, elected as VC is Vice President Marketing of Divya Himachal, a top Hindi daily of Himachal Pradesh. Among the team are veterans GS Bawa, former GM (PR) Airports Authority of India as Secretary, Rama Vijay, former GM (Corp. Comm,) of Maharatna PSU REC Limited. She handles the Treasurer’s purse in the new body.  Sanchit Sharma, a Director in Critique Communications, a popular advertising agency of Delhi joins as Joint Secretary.  Sanchit fought an election to the post, having pipped another advertising veteran Jitendra Bakshi in a close contest while others were elected unanimously.

Dinesh Kumar, former Director AAI and aviation professional, acted as the Election Officer to put a new team in place diligently.

PRS Delhi is a top body of public relations professionals comprising of Public Sector, Corporate and Media houses of Delhi and North India. It is a five year old body formed as a splinter group out of old PRSI, gone into hibernation due to scarce activities and exposure.

Former PR veteran Naresh Kanwar, CGM (PR) Power Grid Corpn. of India , GS Bawa and SS Rao, Chief General Manager (Corp.) of another Maharatna PSU, were the prime movers of the new PRS Delhi and became Numero Uno of PR by organising many scintillating events, talks and seminars over the past 5 years.

Outgoing Chairman, SS Rao wished the new team a bright future hoping it emulates the old teams,   organizing more professional events and innovative activities in the coming two-year term.  The old team also presented its report and financials for the previous term of outgoing governing body at AGM.
