Prem Eye Hospital Organizes Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Surgery Camp at Gurdwara Sahib, Thikriwal

Barnala:  Prem Eye and Gynecology Hospital, Barnala, organized a free eye check-up and cataract surgery camp at Gurdwara Sahib Thikriwal in Barnala district on Friday. A large number of residents from Thikriwal and nearby villages attended the camp and benefited from the medical services provided.

During the camp, renowned eye specialist Dr. Rupesh Singla and his team conducted free eye examinations for patients. Free medicines and spectacles were also distributed to needy patients.

A total of approximately  250 patients  were examined, out of which 25 patients  were identified and selected for cataract surgery. The medical team also educated attendees about the importance of regular eye care, early diagnosis, and timely treatment of eye-related diseases.

The camp was organized with the support of the  Nagar Panchayat  and the Gurdwara Sahib Management Committee, whose cooperation contributed significantly to the success of the event.

Speaking on the occasion,  Dr. Rupesh Singla, Managing Director of Prem Eye and Gynecology Hospital, Barnala, said that the hospital remains committed to serving society through such free medical camps. He added that these initiatives help ensure timely treatment for underprivileged and needy patients who may otherwise have limited access to healthcare services.

Dr. Singla further emphasized that eye diseases should never be neglected and advised people to undergo regular eye examinations to maintain good vision and detect potential problems at an early stage.                                               (report by Balwinder Azad).
