KP Sharma Oli re-appointed as Nepal Prime Minister
Kathmandu, May 13 (UNI) K P Sharma Oli, who had lost the vote of confidence on May 10 in the Parliament, was once again appointed as the Prime Minister of Nepal as the Opposition parties failed to garner the majority vote to form a government. Mr Oli was re-appointed as he was the leader of the single largest party in the House.
According to local media, country President Bidya Devi Bhandari had given the Parliamentary parties three-days’ time to form a majority government. However, today, Ms Bhandari, in a statement, said that none of the parties or an alliance stepped forward with a claim to form the government.
Now, Mr Oli will have to again undergo a trust vote within 30 days.
