‘Future and present strength of nation’: PM Modi shares Sanskrit verse praising youth
NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of winning people’s hearts through one’s vision, thoughts, words and actions. Sharing the verse on social media, the Prime Minister also highlighted the contribution of India’s youth, describing them as not only the future of the country but also its greatest strength in the present.
He said young people have earned a distinct identity across the world through their sensitivity, spirit of service and capabilities.The Sanskrit verse shared by the Prime Minister reads:
“Chakshusha manasa vacha karmana cha chaturvidham,
Prasadayati yo lokam tam loko’nuprasidati.”
“चक्षुषा मनसा वाचा कर्मणा च चतुर्विधम्।
प्रसादयति यो लोकं तं लोकोऽनुप्रसीदति।।”
The verse conveys that a person who wins people’s hearts through their vision, thoughts, words and actions earns their trust, respect and goodwill in return. The Prime Minister’s message underlined the significance of conduct and positive engagement in building strong bonds with people.
