Kangra: 24,050 people in age group of 18-44 got the Vaccine

Dharamsala,Jun 21 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Prajapati said on Monday that in Kangra district, 24,5050 people in the age group of 18 to 44 were given doses of Covid vaccine, for which 157 vaccination centers were set up in the district.
He said that the State Government has earmarked three days a week for Covid vaccination for people in this age group of 18 to 44 years, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, besides increasing the number of vaccination centers from today itself so that maximum number of vaccination centers are available. More citizens can be covered and protected from infection of Covid.
He said that apart from health workers, instructions have been given to take the services of teachers and Ayurvedic staff in the vaccination centres. Along with this, open space is also being made available for the vaccination centers so that social distancing can also be ensured.
He said that effective steps have also been taken to ensure that all the people get the facility of vaccination and smooth monitoring of the vaccination campaign is being ensured at the district level also.
He said that Thursday, Friday and Saturday have been fixed for vaccination for the age group above 45 years. There will be no vaccination session on Sundays while the vaccination campaign will continue on other holidays. He said that under the vaccination campaign, people are also being made aware to take the dosage.
Covid Management Task Force has also been constituted at the Panchayat level.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Prajapati said that the government and administration are taking effective steps to deal with Covid and the cooperation of the general public is also necessary in this.
