NEW DELHI: No Indian city has ranked among the top 100 in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) finest Student Cities 2024 report, which lists the finest places for overseas students to study.

Delhi was ranked 132 places, whereas Mumbai was ranked 118, the highest of all Indian cities. Bengaluru comes in at 147 and is followed by Chennai at 154.

However, according to the “World University Rankings,” London is still in first place. Tokyo, Seoul, Melbourne, Munich, Paris, Sydney, Berlin, Zurich, and Boston round out the top ten cities.

According to the QS poll, London has now held the title of best city for students for five years running. “London takes the number one spot once again, strengthening the city and the UK’s position as a leading global study destination,” read a statement.

Universities’ rankings, student diversity, desirability, employer activity, affordability, and student voice are six factors that QS used to rank cities.

Due to the attractiveness indicator, which considers factors like quality of life, pollution index, safety, and the likelihood that prospective students will choose a city for their university experience, Indian towns were unable to rank in the top 100.
