Bihar shuts schools, colleges, coaching institutes till Jan 21
HP records 498 new corona cases; Meghalya also faces surge in cases
Patna, Jan 6 (UNI) The daily rise in the number of positive cases of Novel Coronavirus prompted the Bihar government on Thursday to order closure of all schools, colleges and coaching institutes till January 21.
The decision was taken late on Thursday night by a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in which directives were issued for closure of all schools, colleges and coaching institutes till January 21.
The offices of these institutions have, however, been allowed to remain open with 50 per cent staff capacity.
All competitive examinations for recruitments would be held as per its schedule. Similarly, examinations to be conducted by School Boards, would be held in accordance with guidelines issued by the government for Covid appropriate behaviour, added the directive.
