Youth falls to death from paraglider at Bir
Dharamshala, Nov 21(UNI) A 32 year old from Lower Mamta Nagrota Bagwan died on Sunday after he fell from the paraglider during paragliding in the Bir area of this district, police said here this evening.
Kangra district Additional police Chief Mr. Badri Singh told UNI that the 32 year old man identified as Sandeep Chaudhary had gone to Bir – Billing for an outing being a Sunday and decided to travel by air through tendon flight. ASP said that while he
was enjoying a paragliding flight from the Billing takeoff site this afternoon Sandeep turned panicky while in air and requested the pilot to have emergency landing.
ASP Badri Singh quoting the pilot said that before the pilot could make the emergency landing Sandeep Chaudhary fell mid air and died on the spot.
When asked weather the pilot is a registered pilot, the ASP said that investigation has started and everything is being looked into. He said that a FIR is being registered and soon other information about the incident will trickle in.
Earlier too some cases have occurred where people have lost their lives when they fell down mid air.
