Mainpuri, Feb 14(UNI) Storming Mulayam Singh Yadav’s pocket borough on Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fired a fresh salvo at the SP Chief, and said that peace was restored in the state because of BJP’s policy of zero-tolerance against crimes, whereas SP was involved in criminalisation of politics. Stepping up his attack at Akhilesh Yadav, Yogi while addressing a public meeting in Mainpuri, said, “maintaining law and order across the state was never the priority of Samajwadi Party, all they cared about was their own benefits and handed over the state’s dignity to criminals and terrorists,” adding that, “For SP, socialism is anarchy, corruption, dynastic rule, mafia, loot and terrorism.” Drawing a stark comparison between 2012-2017 and after 2017, the Chief Minister stated that no electricity was provided even to the land of sage Mayan which contributed to raising the flag of India’s ‘Sanatan Dharma’ since time immemorial. “Previous governments did not allow electricity to people because there used to be riots in the day and dacoity during the nights,” he asserted. He went on to say “those who looted your schemes, ate poor’s ration, pocketed funds for roads and electricity and pension for widows and elderly, and arrogated houses of the poor are being searched by us. We have stick of development in one hand and lever of bulldozer against mafia in the other.” Stating that due to ‘dynastic mindset’ Rajiv Pratap Yadav, President of Yadav Mahasabha Mainpuri, was not given the opportunity to serve as an MP or an MLA by the Samajwadi Party, Adityanath said that only people belonging to ‘one particular family’ are given chance. “Soch parivarwadi hai isliye kisi dusre ko panapne aur aage badhne hi nahi denge,” he remarked. Taking a dig at the previous government, the CM commented: “What was the condition of Mainpuri five years back? The mafia and criminals used to harass the public, traders.” He also added that earlier the land mafia used to capture the land of the farmers, used to molest the daughters, but after the formation of the BJP government, the land mafia vanished from the state while the criminals were begging for their lives. Asserting that his government ensured the safety of women and daughters, along with the welfare of farmers, the CM further stated that now the festivals are being celebrated peacefully in the state. “BJP’s religion is nationalism, development, and good governance. And the wheel of development must keep moving without any brakes.” Making a fierce attack on the Samajwadi Party, CM Yogi said that the people had given a chance to the SP in the year 2012, but the SP looted the state in the name of development. “It was the SP government who withdrew the cases against terrorists of the Ayodhya attack. On the other hand, when the BJP government was formed, we waived the loans of farmers and established Anti-Romeo squads for the safety of daughters.” Yogi Adityanath also listed the various welfare schemes of the centre and state government that are designed to benefit the poor. “Dedicated to the all-round progress of Uttar Pradesh, the policies of the government encompassed the development of every category including agriculture, women, youth, entrepreneurs, labourers, health and medical infrastructure and law and order,” he said. Maintaining that Uttar Pradesh’s Covid-19 management fared well in comparison to many other states and countries, the CM said, “Under PM Modi’s leadership the most populous state contained the pandemic efficiently. People are being provided free vaccines, free testing facilities and free treatment along with free double-dose of food grains,” adding, “Jinhone aapke jaan ke saath khilwaad kiya unhe vote de ke karara jawab de.” Announcing that BJP will ensure tablets/smartphones in hands of every youth after March 10, Yogi Adityanath said, “Today, when BJP is distributing smartphones and tablets to 1 crore youth, Samajwadi Party has given a report to the EC that these gadgets shouldn’t be distributed to youth. Don’t worry, if we come to power again, we’ll distribute it to 2 crore youth, our youth will be smart.
