Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped After Drink Spiked at Delhi Party

New Delhi: A 24-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men at a party in north Delhi’s Civil Lines after her drink was reportedly spiked, police said on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused — including her friend, an acquaintance, and two other men — allegedly filmed the assault and threatened to upload the video on social media if she reported the incident.

In her complaint, the woman, who works with a Gurugram-based firm, stated she had been invited by a male friend to a party at a house near Under Hill Road on Sunday night. She alleged that during the gathering, her drink was tampered with, leaving her semi-conscious, after which she was taken to the washroom and assaulted.

The men allegedly thrashed her during the incident before dropping her outside her home. She then contacted the police, following which she was taken for a medical examination. Her parents were informed and she was provided counselling.

A case of rape has been registered, and police teams are searching for the absconding accused after visiting the crime scene.

In a separate incident, a 32-year-old woman reported being raped by a man on the pretext of arranging a job in Mundka.
