Bathinda (Punjab) : controversial Insta-famous constable, often dubbed the “InstaQueen,” has found herself in deep legal trouble after being arrested in connection with a drug trafficking case. The court has now extended her police remand by two more days. Accused of selling “chitta” (a local term for synthetic drugs), the young woman made headlines as she appeared at the local court stylishly dressed in a black suit, drawing public and media attention not just for the case but also for her glamorous appearance.
The constable, who gained fame on Instagram for her stylish photos and reels, is now under scrutiny for her alleged role in the drug trade. Investigators believe she was part of a local drug network and are currently examining her digital devices, bank transactions, and links to suspected dealers. Police sources claim that her online persona and flashy lifestyle, including an apparent obsession with expensive perfumes and branded accessories, may have been a cover to attract and manipulate others.
During interrogation, the constable reportedly remained evasive, offering limited information. Authorities are also probing how a serving policewoman became involved in narcotics and whether there are other internal links. Her social media following, particularly on Instagram, had reached thousands, where she often flaunted her fashion choices and luxury habits. Her sudden arrest has stunned many of her followers who idolized her as a modern, empowered woman.
Adding another layer to the controversy, it was revealed that the accused had previously filed a domestic violence case against her husband. Now, the investigation is examining whether there is any link between her marital discord and involvement in criminal activities. Her husband has denied any knowledge of her alleged actions and claims they had been separated for a while.
The court, upon the police’s request, granted a two-day extension of her remand, citing the need for further investigation and recovery of additional evidence. The case continues to raise serious questions about the infiltration of criminal elements within law enforcement and how social media fame can sometimes mask deeper secrets. As the remand period continues, the Punjab Police is under pressure to uncover the full scope of this scandal and ensure accountability within the ranks.
