When to start train your pup?

It is still a question for most of the dog owners as to what is the right age for starting training for the dog or its usefulnes.

It was thought that the training of a dog starts at an age when the pup is of a certain age, but the theory does not hold good today. The training of the pup starts on the very first day when the pup is introduced in the family. It becomes familiar with its new family and reposes its confidence in it. It starts discovering its position in the family. Seeing the behaviour of the family members, it starts ranking itself among the family members. Too much love showered on him or strong reprimand tends to spoil it.

There are many theories about how to train a dog to be happy and willing companion, but certain principles apply to all methods. The dog must understand what is expected. Canine behaviour is a combination of instinct and environment. The behavioural development of the puppy begins right from its birth, which has to be given the right direction and dealt with experienced hands or in consultation with a good trainer.

Dog training needs to be in partnership. It is not just the dog that needs training, but the family as well. It is no good if one member of the family is able to handle the dog properly while others can’t. This is how the dog will also start recognizing pack leader or the Alpha dog.
