Veteran Aviation expert Prof. Dinesh Kumar, IAP, Honoured with IPSE “Doyen of the Decade Award”…..

New Delhi:  Veteran aviation  administrator  Dinesh Kumar, Former Exec.  Director (HR) of Airports Authority of India, at the time when 1st JV in airports of GMR & GVK were making appearance and the aviation’s Industrial Relations scenario was highly charged, has been conferred the prestigious “IPSE Doyen of the Decade (Public Sector)” Award in the capital recently. The award is in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of airport infrastructure, modern cargo handling facilities, digitalisation and automation; EDI; modernisation of Chennai International Airport and the overall advancement of India’s aviation industry. He is also the founder Director of the 1st ‘Indian Aviation Academy’ under MoCivil Aviation. He was also conferred ‘Most Powerful HR professional of India’ and placed among  ‘30 Best trainers of India during 2011.

His efforts have notably focused on fostering human capital growth within the sector, having regard to employee care, as an essential element of improvin g productivity.

A scholar of management thought leadership; he was Ist Indian/Asian recipient of ‘Roll of Honour: Hall of Fame’ of TIACA 2000; ‘Chennai-Best Indian Airport by AIPA 2008; among others.

The 2026 IPSE award was presented by  Anil Razdan, Former Secretary (Power), last Thursday, in a distinguished ceremony held at the SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of eminent personalities including Shri Sandeep Gupta, Former CMD of GAIL, and  A K Singh, Former CMD of NHPC and other senior officers of the Government of India and industry.

Instituted by PSE Journal in collaboration with the ENERTIA Foundation, the IPSE Awards celebrate excellence within India’s Public Sector Enterprises across vital economic sectors. They recognize the remarkable contributions of PSEs and their leaders in strengthening the nation’s GDP and driving sustainable growth in both Central and State Public Sector Enterprises.
