TTD procures 25 Gir Cows from Gujarat for Navneets Seva in Tirumala

Tirumala, Aug 15 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Additional Executive Officer, AV Dharma Reddy on Sunday said TTD had commenced use of all organic and cow-based materials in Srivari Naivedyam to be launched this unique Seva from Sri Krishna Janmashtami day on August 30.
Addressing employees after hoisting the national flag at the Gokulam Rest house grounds as part of Independence Day celebrations here, Dharma Reddy said the TTD has procured 25 Gir breed cows from Gujarat for use of their milk to make butter and ghee for the unique seva.
He said service to devotees is true worship of Lord Venkateswara and the recently launched accommodation facilitation process of six counters, MS system and room slips scanning at Alipiri gates etc had earned the satisfaction of pilgrims.
He said all accommodation complexes were being modernized with geysers by December and devotees will be allowed on Alipiri footpaths after completion of the roof slab works by September.
The additional EO said a new scheme of traditional meals section is to be launched at Anna Prasadam complex in Tirumala where organic food items will be made available to devotees at affordable prices.
He also highlighted the spiritual programs launched by TTD during the COVID pandemic and their live telecast on SVBC.
He said five-day special puja celebrations were held at Akashaganga in Anjanadri after it was adjudged as the birthplace of Anjaneya.
He said the BIRRD hospital has been modernized with state of art equipment during the COVID pandemic and also lauded the services of all TTD officials of all sections during the pandemic.
