Tourism Min. Reddy launches 3 digital banking units in Telangana

Jangama: Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday launched three digital Banking units in Khammam, Sircilla and Janagama in Telangana.
Speaking after inaugurating the digital SBI banking unit in Janagama, Reddy said revolutionary changes have been brought in the banking sector. He said in the past, banks were only useful for the rich, but now they are useful for everyone including the poor.
Reddy said those who criticized the Central Government on opening of bank accounts, now appreciate it. He said apart from digital banking services, education will also be brought into the digital sector.
The Union Minister said digital banking services will be brought in all the banks in the coming days. He said in the past only the rich had credit cards, but now poor people are also using credit cards.
Reddy said that Ration card mafia should be stopped. Ration cards should be provided to the deserving poor. He said digital banking has contributed a lot to check duplicate LPG accounts.
He said Rs 300 crores will be provided digitally to SC and ST students through banks. Accounts of 50 crore have been opened under Jana Dhan accounts. He said there is one crore of Jan Dhan accounts in the state.
Later, Reddy also watched this program launched nationally at 75 units by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
