COVID soars in Maharashtra; tallies over 11k cases
Aurangabad, Jan 2: Maharashtra Industries Minister Subhash Desai on Sunday asserted that the development of Aurangabad is a priority for the state government.
Mr Desai who is also Aurangabad Guardian Minister, was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Sub Divisional office in Kannad taluka.
“The new building of the sub-divisional office would help the Kannad residents of the district to get better services,” he said.
Talking about the upcoming public works for Aurangabad, he said, “Positive discussions have taken place with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding Kannad-Chalisgaon tunnel and other options which are important from the point of view of transportation in Kannad taluka.”
“During the COVID crisis, the state government ramped up the health infrastructure for this district,” he underscored in the presence of Minister of State for Revenue Abdul Sattar.
Lastly, he appealed to the citizens to diligently adhere to the COVID norms as well as government rules related to the pandemic.
MLAs Ambadas Danve and Udaysingh Rajput, and Collector Sunil Chavan were present along with other district officials.
