Singer Satinder Sartaaj Sends Ration for 500 Flood-Hit Families; Drones Aid Relief Work in Ajnala

Amritsar : Punjabi singer Satinder Sartaaj has sent one month’s ration for 500 families in the flood-affected Ajnala sub-division.
Informing this, Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney instructed her team of volunteers to deliver these materials to the needy.
Additionally, Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra have also announced relief support for the flood-affected area.
The DC, along with SSP (Rural) Maninder Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rohit Gupta, DSP Ajnala, and other officials visited Harar Kalan village in Ajnala on Saturday morning and confirmed that distribution of relief materials had begun in the affected villages.
Drones are being used to reach people whose houses are submerged in the waters of the Ravi river in the Ramdass area.
Alongside relief work for people, the district administration has set up animal relief centers in Chamyari and Ajnala Dana Mandi. Sakshi Sawhney, Maninder Singh, and Rohit Gupta also visited the animal relief centers to review arrangements.
Amid the ongoing flood situation in Punjab, Acting Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib Giani Kuldip Gargaj appealed to all Punjabis to support one another in this difficult time and help those in distress. He emphasized that the real reasons behind recurring floods in Punjab must be investigated and made public, so that people can be better prepared for future natural calamities and collective efforts can be made to prevent or mitigate them.
