Renowned social worker, senior journalist, artist and entrepreneur Tilak Raj honoured by CM Saini
Chandigarh: Renowned social worker, senior journalist, artist, and businessman Tilak Raj was specially honoured by the Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, during a seminar organized by the Bhagat Kabir Foundation, Mohali, on the life of legendaey Saint Kabir. Sharing details, Chairperson of Sardar Hari Singh Memorial English School, Mrs. Jagjit Kaur Kahlon, said that the seminar was organized by Bhagat Kabir Foundation’s General Secretary Pradeep Singh Happy and Vishal Sharma. She further informed that Tilak Raj was honoured for his outstanding contributions to social service, journalism, arts, and business.She added that Tilak Raj had previously been honoured three times by Punjab Cabinet Ministers on the occasion of August 15, and receiving recognition from the Chief Minister of Haryana is a matter of great pride for him.
Notably, Tilak Raj, who is the Charter President of Lions Club Mohali Supreme and Yuvak Sewa Club Jhanjedi, has been actively involved in social service for a long time. He has also worked with various newspapers in the field of journalism and is currently serving with the national English newspaper “Yugmarg.”
In addition, he has worked as an artist in two Punjabi films and several Punjabi songs. In the business sector, he runs an online business through a CSC center and is a member of the Mohali Industries Association and Chandigarh Management Association.He has completed his BCA from Punjab University, Chandigarh, MA in Journalism from Punjabi University, Patiala, and is currently pursuing MA in Sociology from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
