RECPDCL Handovers Lakadia B Power Transmission SPV to Reliance Industries

The Rs. 512.58 Cr project will be implemented in 24 months

Gurugram: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a  subsidiary of REC Limited, the Maharatna CPSU   handed over project specific SPV of ISTS Transmission Project under TBCB route viz, Lakadia B Power Transmission Limited to Reliance Industries Limited on Friday, the 14th Feb.  at Gurugram.   Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) emerged as the Transmission Service Provider  through tariff-based competitive bidding  process conducted by RECPDCL, the bid process Coordinator, for development of the transmission project on Build, Own, Operate & Transfer  basis according to company press release.

The SPV was handed over by  RECPDCL  Chie Executive Officer  T.S.C. Bosh  to  N. Vaidyanathan, Sr. Vice President, Reliance Industries Limited in the presence of senior officials of RECPDCL, Reliance Industries Limited and Central Transmission Utility of India Limited. The implementation period of the project is 24 months.

The scheme covers augmentation of transformation capacity at Lakadia Pooling Station in Gujarat State for evacuation of Power from RE Power Generators. The estimated cost of the project is around Rs. 512.58 Crore.
