OBC Employees Demand Reservation in Promotions at State-Level Conference in Panipat

Panipat: OBC employees strongly raised the demand for reservation in promotions and several other issues during a state-level conference of Backward Class Roadways employees held in Panipat under the leadership of State President Yogi Subhash Chauhan.

A large number of employees from various districts of Haryana participated in the conference and highlighted concerns related to the rights and representation of OBC employees in government services.

Panipat Mayor Komal Saini attended the event as the chief guest, while Dr. Yogi Anoop Nath was the guest of honour. Vijendra Prajapati delivered the keynote address, and the proceedings were conducted by State General Secretary Ramnivas Panchal.

The participants described reservation in promotions as their foremost demand and called for the immediate filling of backlog vacancies in all government departments. They also sought 27 percent reservation in Class-I and Class-II posts, implementation of the roster system across departments, and preparation of a comprehensive database of OBC employees working in Haryana Government offices.

Addressing the gathering, Yogi Subhash Chauhan said it was the first time such a large number of OBC employees had united on a single platform in Haryana. He announced that a larger convention involving employees from all government departments would soon be organized to formulate future strategies regarding their demands.

Employees from Sonipat, Delhi, Rewari, Bhiwani, Sirsa, Tosham, Hisar, Hansi, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Chandigarh and several other regions participated in the conference and unanimously supported the demand for reservation in promotions.

During the event, a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister was submitted through Mayor Komal Saini. The Mayor assured the gathering that their demands would be strongly presented before the government.

Among those present were General Secretary Ramnivas Panchal, Treasurer Narendra Prajapati, Senior Vice President Jitendra Sen, Vedpal Yadav, Mohan Lal Rohilla, Pramod Sain, Rakesh Yogi, Suresh Prajapat, Ved Prakash, Virendra Verma, Rituraj, Mukesh Bhandari, Rajesh Jangra, Neeraj Saini and employees from various roadways depots across Haryana.
