Nitish Kumar wants Raghunathpur station to be renamed

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has written a letter to the railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav requesting him to rename
Raghunathpur railway station of Buxar district as Baba Brahmeshwar Nath railway station.
In the letter written to the railway minister on Thursday which was circulated in the media, it has been mentioned that an ancient Temple
of Lord Shiva Brahmeshwar Nath Temple is located in Brahmpur block of Buxar district and as per mythology it was established by Lord Brahma himself following which the temple is known as Brahmeshwar sthan.
In the letter the chief minister further states that devotees continuously throng there to offer prayers throughout the year especially during Falgun and Shravan.
The Chief Minister wrote that Raghunathpur railway station close to Baba Brahmeshwar Nath Temple is important for communication of the
devotees. He said that the local people had a long cherished desire that the Raghunathpur railway station should be renamed after Baba
Brahmeshwar Nath. Keeping in mind the feelings of the people, Nitish Kumar requested through his letter to the railway minister to change the name of the railway station.
Earlier while laying the foundation stone through video conferencing for development and beautification of Baba Brahmeshwar Nath Temple in Brahmapur of Buxar district during the day, the Chief Minister had stated the state government would send a proposal completing all formalities to the centre for renaming the railway station in the name of Baba Brahmeshwar Nath.
