National Urdu Council to promote skill learning in Urdu language: Dr Sheikh Aqeel Ahmad
New Delhi, October 4 (UNI) In order to promote Urdu language, the National Urdu Council (NUC) will collaborate the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide the translation of textbooks in Urdu and distribute in the Urdu-dominated areas, Sheikh Akil Ahmed, Director, NUC said on Monday.
The statement came after a meeting happened between Ahmed and top officials at the CBSE.
“It was decided in the meeting that a written memorandum would be prepared between the Council and CBSE and further action would be taken in this regard. Our aim is to provide skill education to Urdu students and equip them with all round skills so that they can easily meet the challenges and have more than one option before them after entering the practical world,” he informed.
Ahmed said the books related to skill education published by CBSE through National Urdu Council will be translated in stages and arrangements will be made to reach new Urdu settlements besides India.
“The present era is an era of scientific and practical competition. To achieve success here, one requires dedication and expertise in more than one academic and practical field. With this objective, we have made this progress and it will certainly pave a professional way for the students,” he added.
Notably, the NUC has also prepared an Urdu translation of CBSE’s workbook for the six-month paper mesh course starting in Jammu and Kashmir. The council will also make special arrangements for skill and training in Urdu language across the country, it added.
