Minimum temperature further drops to 2.7°C in Chandigarh
The city today witnessed the coldest night of this season and the lowest minimum temperature for this month after January 2017.
The minimum temperature dropped to 2.7°C, which is five degrees below normal. On January 11, 2017, minimum temperature of 2.4°C was recorded.
After 2017, the second lowest January minimum temperature (3.2°C) was recorded this year on January 14. On January 6, 2018, the lowest minimum temperature had dropped to 3.2°C.
From January 2018 till 2022, the lowest minimum temperature had remained between 3.2°C and 5.1°C. Meanwhile, the day temperature brought some relief to people. Sunny or partially sunny weather was witnessed in the city. The maximum temperature rose to 18.1°C, which is normal day temp. The temps are not expected to see a major shift over the next five days.
The latest city weather forecast says it will be a clear sky with dense fog and cold wave conditions till January 19.
