Maruti Suzuki is recalling 87,599 vehicles due to the possibility of a fault in the steering tie rod sections of the vehicles. On Monday, the car manufacturer revealed in a press release that it will be recalling 87,599 vehicles (S-Presso and Eeco models) that were produced between July 5, 2021 and February 15, 2023.
Maruti Suzuki, an automaker, has reportedly recalled 87,599 vehicles due to a potential problem with steering tie rod components, according to a company announcement.
The carmaker announced on Monday that it would recall 87,599 S-Presso and Eeco vehicles produced between July 5, 2021, and February 15, 2023.
The carmaker stated in the release that there is “suspicion of a possible defect in a part of the steering tie rod, used in such vehicles, which is a rare case, may break and affect vehicle steerability and handling.”
The affected car owners would receive communication from Maruti Suzuki authorised workshops for prompt attention, it was also highlighted in the release.
“Maruti Suzuki authorised dealer workshops will contact affected vehicle owners with information on inspection and free replacement of the defective part. The aforementioned recall will begin on today, July 24, 2023,” it stated.
