Nagpur: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday asserted that the State government will provide 75,000 government jobs to youth in the next one year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the “Rozgar Mela” and distributed 75,000 appointment letters among government job aspirants at 50 places across the country.
On the backdrop of this initiative, Maharashtra government led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has also decided to provide government jobs to 75,000 youth in the state, Fadnavis said.
Fadnavis, who was speaking to reporters at Nagpur Airport, said in June the Prime Minister Narendra Modi had directed various government departments and ministries to recruit ten lakh people on a mission mode till next year.
Hailing the PM’s decision, Fadnavis said the Union Government is working hard on various fronts to create maximum job opportunities for the youngsters.
Fadnavis, who is State Home Minister, further said that out of the 75,000 jobs, 18,000 vacancies will be for police department. (UNI)
