Kaza to host National Women Ice Hockey Championship

Shimla, Jan 15 (UNI) The 9th National Women Hockey Championship slated to start in Spiti valley of Lahaul Spiti district from Sunday.
Additional District Magistrate and Resident Commissioner Spiti Mohan Dutt informed today that
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur would be chief guest in the closing function on Jan 20, 2022.
The event would be unveiled at 1030hrs on Sunday and six Ice Hockey teams belonged to Himachal
Telangana, Chandigrah, Delhi, ITBP Ladhakh, and Lakdhakh would participate in the events. Kaza ice hockey stadium unveiled two years ago hosting this event for first time.
Local artists would performed cultural program including Dance on ice hockey. One of the match would be played between man and women team in the tournament.
The Kaza administration also organised Ice hockey training camp to the local youth including woman
which started on Dec 25 and last till Jan 15. Ice Hockey Association of India General Secretary Harjind Jindi Himachal Pradesh Ice Hockey Association president Abay Dogra would attending the event.
