Patna, Dec 25 (UNI) Former JD(U) president and Union Minister RCP Singh on Saturday declared that there was no problem with BJP on seat sharing and both the parties would  contest together in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections to be held early next year.
Singh told media persons here that JD(U), after taking into account opinions of party leaders, had taken a decision to contest assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
All were in favour for JD(U) spreading its base in Uttar Pradesh, he informed.
” Yes definitely, JD(U) and BJP will definitely contest Uttar Pradesh assembly elections together and there is no problem on seat sharing between both the parties”, JD(U) leader said adding that relation of his party with BJP was good.
When relation was sweet, where was the question of respectable number of seats to be considered by BJP for JD(U), he asked and added any decision in this connection would be taken amicably without hurting interest of both the parties, while replying to query of
media persons on which number of seats would be respectable for the JD(U) to contest in UP assembly poll.

Singh, to a query on VIP and HAM, the two other constituents of ruling NDA in Bihar,  deciding to contest separately in UP poll, said that every party was free to take its own decision.
What would happen if HAM and VIP would contest separately in UP as they were part of NDA only in Bihar, he pointed out.
JD(U) leader ruled out any damage in the event of VIP and HAM contesting separately in UP assembly elections.
NDA had different alliance partners in UP from Bihar, there was no point in drawing any comparison, he stressed.
As it is, former Bihar Chief Minister and president of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM)
Jeetan Ram Manjhi and Mukesh Sahni, president of VIP had dropped enough hint that both
the parties would contest together in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, if they did not get space in NDA there.
Sahni had called on Manjhi at the residence of Manjhi in Patna yesterday to chalk out common strategy.
JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh had said yesterday that former
party president and Union Minister RCP Singh had been authorised to negotiate with BJP
on seat sharing for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
