HP:Bridge over Loharli khad in Una distt approved, a budget of Rs 43.17 crore

Hamirpur /Una, Dec 16(UNI) Union Information-cum-Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Thakur has thanked the Union Road and Transport Minister, Mr, Nitin Gadkari for approving Rupees 43.17 crore for the construction of a 500 meters long high-level bridge over Loharli khad in Gagret area of the Una district, it was reported on Thursday.
In a statement, he said that it was a gift from Mr Gadkari to the people of the Una district.

Anurag Thakur said, “This construction work will bring a big gift to the residents. After getting the in-principle approval for the bridge to be built on Loharli Khad in the Gagret assembly constituency, there is a wave of joy among the residents of the area. In the approval of the 500-meter long double lane bridge, local Gagret MLA Rajesh Thakur along with me has continuously paved the way for the construction of this bridge by getting its forest clearance, technical approval, and all other approvals done smoothly”.

He said, “With the construction of this bridge, about 18 panchayats of Gagret and Chintpurni assembly constituencies will have easy access to traffic throughout the year. The support of Chintapurni MLA Shri Balbir Chaudhary has also been received and for this, along with Rajesh Thakur ji, Shri Balbir Chaudhary also deserve congratulations”.

Anurag Thakur said, “With the construction of this bridge, people of both Gagret and Chintapurni assemblies will be able to travel from Loharli to Chowkminar on the other side of the bridge. On the other hand, farmers, traders, and employees of both the assemblies will also be able to reach their respective places smoothly.

Simultaneously, the people of Gagret will get an opportunity to reach Amb, Dhusada, and even Bangana of Kutlahar assembly on both sides of the Chintpurni assembly constituency directly and easily. Where time will be saved, the cost of movement will also be less. And this bridge will play an important role in the development of the area, he added.
