Haryana Cancels Recruitment for 8,653 Group C Posts
HSSC issues new notification; fresh CET exam announced with conditions for previous applicants
Haryana : In a major announcement, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has officially canceled the recruitment process for 8,653 Group C posts. The commission has issued a fresh notification, informing aspirants that a new Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted. This decision impacts thousands of candidates who had applied for these posts under the previous notification.
According to the latest circular, the recruitment was called off due to administrative and legal concerns surrounding the earlier process. HSSC has clarified that all future recruitments for Group C posts will now be done through the new CET pattern, and a fresh schedule for the examination will be released soon.
The new development, however, comes with a catch for old applicants. Candidates who had applied previously will be eligible to appear in the new exam, but only if they meet certain revised eligibility conditions and complete the updated registration process. The commission has advised all previous applicants to visit the official HSSC website and update their details as per the latest guidelines.
This decision has sparked mixed reactions among job seekers. While some welcomed the clarity and fresh start, others expressed disappointment over having to restart the entire process after waiting for months. Social media platforms have seen a flurry of posts from frustrated candidates demanding age relaxation and fee waivers for reappearing in the CET.
The HSSC officials, however, assured that this move is aimed at ensuring transparency and fairness in the recruitment process. They emphasized that the new CET will have updated syllabus and better evaluation standards to identify the most deserving candidates for government jobs.
As Haryana prepares for its next phase of recruitment under the CET framework, coaching centers and aspirants are already gearing up for what could be a highly competitive exam season. The cancellation of the previous recruitment underscores the state’s push towards reforming its hiring process one that is increasingly relying on centralized exams to streamline selection and avoid controversies.
