Hamirpur: 27 cases under CM’s Swavlamban Yojana with Rs. 4 Cr approved

Hamirpur (HP), Dec 24: Under the Chief Minister’s Swavalamban Yojana, twenty-seven cases were given approval by the committee headed by Deputy Commissioner, Debasweta Banik here on Thursday evening.
A sum of four crore rupees would be given to these applicants to run their avocations by giving employment to seventy-eight people.
Banik said that a subsidy of about Rs 86 lakh would be given by the government for these enterprises. The youth of the district should be motivated to take advantage of this.
Under this scheme, male entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 to 45 years and female entrepreneurs up to 50 years of age can get projects up to Rs 1 crore funding from the bank.
She said that there was a provision of 25 percent grant for male entrepreneurs, 30 percent for women entrepreneurs, and 35 percent for widows on fixed capital (building, plant, and machinery) up to Rs 60 lakh.
Apart from this, the government also bears the interest amount at the rate of 5 percent for three years on loans up to Rs 60 lakh.
The Deputy Commissioner said that young entrepreneurs can also set up dairy and cold storage units under this scheme. She said that district Hamirpur has good potential for milk production and it has also been included in One District One Product i.e. ODOP scheme.
Giving detailed information about the scheme during the meeting, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, General Manager, District Industries Center said that the government has now introduced improved dairy development, cold stores for milk and milk products, manufacturing of agricultural equipment, sericulture, silage units, under this scheme.
