Hamas threatening regional stability : Israeli Foreign Ministry

Tel Aviv, May 12 (UNI) The Israeli Foreign Ministry on Wednesday described the Hamas organization as a threat to regional stability.
“They are trying to put the Palestinian Authority at risk and risk to destabilize the entire region, not only Israel, and the countries around us,” said ministerial spokesperson Lior Haiat at a news briefing.
The Hamas controls the Gaza Strip from where rockets have been repeatedly fired at Israel since Monday night.
Several top Hamas commanders have been killed in retaliatory airstrikes by the Israeli defence forces.
As per the Gaza health ministry 65 Palestinians have been killed, including 16 children. Israel has reported seven deaths, most recently of a soldier and a six-year-old.
