Free Khaleda unconditionally: calls BNP
Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Tuesday demanded the early and unconditional release of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia from house arrest.
He made the demand at Khaleda Zia’s 78th birthday prayer ceremony at the party central office.
Alamgir said keeping Khaleda Zia under house arrest was “terrible for this democracy”. The history of politics in Bangladesh is the country leader Begum Khaleda Zia.
“The mother of democracy who has protected democracy, who has practiced democracy must be given early release and unconditional release.” (UNI)
