Explosion on railway track in Udaipur; NIA, other agencies investigate

Udaipur: A blast on railway track at about 36 km from Udaipur was heard by some local residents and reported to railway authorities on Sunday afternoon.

Rilway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav too l stock of the incident and sent RPF officials immediately.  The case was handed over to ATF, NIA and RPF.

We are gathering all the evidence. It appears that the explosion took place on Saturday night and the railway tracks were damaged. We were informed about it in the morning. A train was supposed to pass through the area where the incident took place at 11.30 am on Sunday. Some explosive substance has been recovered, which prima facie appears to be like explosives used in mining activities,” said Udaipur SP.
