CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh Empowers Gender Equality with Intl. Women’s Day Celebration 2024

Chandigarh: CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh  marked International Women’s Day with a dynamic program on March 11, 2024, dedicated to promoting gender equality in professional spaces. The event featured an insightful lecture by practicing lawyer Divya Godara, addressing the hindrances to achieving gender equality and the legal initiatives taken to overcome challenges.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome by Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya, Director, CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh, who introduced the chief guest and addressed the audience, shedding light on the implementation of the POSH Act 2013 within the organization. The focal point of the evening was the compelling lecture by Advocate Divya Godara, who shared insights into the hindrances to gender equality in professional spaces and the legal initiatives undertaken to address these issues.
Following the lecture, a vibrant discussion and Q&A session with the ICC committee provided attendees with an opportunity to delve deeper into the subject matter.
Prof. Supinder Kaur from the Law Department at Panjab University, Chandigarh, unveiled the POSH toolkit for new joiners and presented Dos and Don’ts guidelines for the organization
