CM Saini calls Congress’s ‘Haryana Maange Hisab’ campaign ‘Jhooth Ki Yatra’
CHANDIGARH: Congress’ “Haryana Maange Hisab” campaign was called “Jhooth Ki Yatra” by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday, accusing the opposition party of spreading misinformation.
Saini said the Congress should account for its 10 years (2005–2014) of corruption and nepotism.
On Saturday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested Congress MLA Surender Panwar in an illegal mining-linked money-laundering case. Saini told reporters in Sirsa that the ED is an autonomous body performing its duty.
They act where they see misconduct, he said.
Saini responded to the Congress’ ‘Haryana Maange Hisab’ campaign’s attacks on the BJP, saying, “Deepender should first explain his father’s (Bhupinder Hooda’s) tenure. Tell what they did during their time.”
“This (‘Haryana Maange Hisab’) is a ‘Jhooth Ki Yatra’ and they only spread lies among the public,” Saini.
