CGC Landran organizes two International Conferences

Chandigarh Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran’s Departments of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME), jointly organized two landmark international conferences namely the International Conference on Innovations in Communication Computing and Sciences (ICCS-2025), sponsored by AICTE; and the International Conference on Contemporary Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICCAME-2025), held in association with Taylor & Francis, CRC Press and the Iranian Journal of Science and Technology (Springer).  The conferences brought together distinguished academicians, industry leaders, policymakers, funding agencies, researchers and innovators from across the region. They served as an effective platform to promote industry–academia collaboration, encourage multidisciplinary research and encourage innovative thinking among participants. The inaugural session witnessed the distinguished presence of Chief Guest Sh. Prabhjot Singh (IAS), Director General, Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana; Presiding Guest Dr. Manish Kumar Hooda, Director (Technology), India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Government of India; and Guest of Honour Dr. Rupinder Singh, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITTTR Chandigarh. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, CGC Landran, along with Dr. Vinay Bhatia, HoD (ECE), Dr. Rachin Goyal, HoD (ME), and the Deans and Directors of CGC Landran. Following the keynote addresses by the invited luminaries, the dignitaries released the conference proceedings. Chief Guest Sh. Prabhjot Singh (IAS) shared insightful views on how emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science are transforming industries and societies at an unprecedented pace. He also urged young minds to pursue these fields with perseverance, determination and a spirit of innovation. The future belongs to those who are willing to learn, adapt and lead with purpose, he emphasized. Presiding Guest, Dr. Manish Kumar Hooda, highlighted the critical role of semiconductors in India’s technological growth with major projects underway and significant government funding schemes, which will facilitate creation of ecosystems that will empower innovation, self-reliance and global competitiveness. Guest of Honour, Dr. Rupinder Singh spoke about the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration in his address underscoring how Interdisciplinary research, supported by innovative projects and patents, is the key to driving academic excellence and real-world impact. The events also featured paper presentations, poster competitions, and thought-provoking technical sessions, creating an invaluable platform for CGC’s students, faculty, researchers, and industry experts alike. The conferences successfully concluded with felicitation of the winners of paper presentations and poster competitions.
