SIT chief and Additional Director General of Police B K Singh said the victims need not have to visit the office as the team would personally approach them to offer them relief.

The SIT sought police custody of the accused for five days, while Revanna’s advocate Murthy D Naik objected, stating that his client has health issues and is cooperating with the investigation.

CM Siddaramaiah held an "important meeting" with SIT officials, during which he instructed that immediate action be taken to arrest Prajwal Revanna.

"Everything is coming out, one after another, and everything is being examined by the SIT. Some more women have to come and give statement," the HM said.

On Prajwal seeking a week to appear before the SIT probing the case as he is abroad, the Karnataka Home Minister said there is no provision to grant more than 24 hours.
