Telangana : A Telangana court has reserved its verdict on Allu Arjun’s bail petition in connection with the stampede during the premiere of his movie Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The incident on December 4 resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and injury to her 8-year-old son.
Arjun, named as Accused No. 11, had filed for regular bail and appeared via video conference on December 27. Following the tragedy, the police filed charges against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management.
The court will deliver its ruling on January 3, 2025 after hearing both sides. Arjun had been arrested on December 13, but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court.
Meanwhile, the 8-year-old boy is still under medical care, showing signs of improvement but requiring oxygen and ventilator support.
