Khattar apprises Amit Shah about ongoing farmers’ agitation & Covid-19 situation
Chandigarh, May 17 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday apprised Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the ongoing farmers’ agitation and present Covid-19 situation in the state.
The Chief Minister met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi and also apprised him about the arrangements being made by the state government to combat the virus spread.
Later while interacting with media persons, Mr Khattar said that during the meeting, Union Minister was apprised about the ongoing farmers’ agitation and said that the state government would act as per the directions given by the Centre.
Replying to a question regarding Hisar incident, he said that the incident was discussed in detail with the Union Minister wherein he also agreed that it is not appropriate to oppose hospital inauguration.
The Central leadership was also apprised about the talks held between both the parties and the Police yesterday evening. The protestors have assured not to hold such kind of protests in future, he said.
Replying to a question regarding the arrangement of vaccination being made for the farmers, Mr Khattar said that required information has been shared with the Centre on this subject. “We will move forward with patience and all things will be resolved soon,” he added.
“In regard to black fungus disease, we have been informed that the government is importing the required medicine to treat the said disease, and after this, the distribution of the medicine will be planned,” the Chief Minister said.
