CM Bhagwant Mann regularises 12,710 contractual teachers, doubling their compensation.
CM Bhagwant Mann has decided to make 12,710 temporary teachers permanent, which will more than treble their pay. This programme has been allocated a budget of 21 crores, and the primary objective of it is to provide financial assistance to girl students who are enrolled in government institutions so that they can finish their education.
Diwali came months early for 12,710 contractual teachers in Punjab with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Friday handing over regularisation letters to them.

Calling it a “historic day”, Mann said after assuming office, he laid emphasis on regularising these teachers’ services by overcoming all legal and administrative hiccups as “they can transform students’ lives only when their own future is secured”.
