I have come here to seek your blessing and not to give: says President after meeting his relatives and school friends

Kanpur, Jun 25 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind was delighted after seeing his school days friends, villagers and relatives after meeting them at Jhinjhak railway station.
He said ,” I remember all the streets, stations and this new freight corridor is a commendable job done.”
President Ram Nath Kovind reached the stage along with his wife Savita Kovind after landing at Jhinjhak station. He said that he had been trying to come here for a long time.
“Reached Rashtrapati Bhawan via Paraunkh Jhinjhak, Kanpur and Patna. Although DM Saheb was saying that I have come to give blessings, but in reality I have come to seek blessings,” President said.
The President said ,” I remember the lanes of Jhinjhak, the station. Used to wait for the train here for hours. When I used to go from Paraunkh via Khanpur, there was a sweet shop in Jhinjhak, that I still remember. Remembering his friends, he said that one Baburam Vajpayee ji, whose house is behind here. Ram Vilas Tripathi ji of Rasulabad. Like these two, many of our own people got separated from us. At the same time, some left us due to this invisible disease corona. I pay homage to all such people.”
The Presidential express train stopped for about 45 minutes at Jhinjhak station and 30 minutes at Rura station, where President alighted from the train to meet the people and talked to them amid tight security cover.
Meanwhile , the Presidential train got delayed and reached Kanpur Central station at around 2010 hours from its schedule time of 1930 hrs, where governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the President and his wife.
President, during his three days visit to Kanpur, will stay at Circuit house . On June 27 he will go to his native village Paraunkh.
