PM Modi launches phase 3 of PM Gram Sadak Yojna

Chamba/Shimla: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched the third phase of the PM Gram Sadak Yojana to gift roads to inaccessible villages of Himachal Pradesh.
Addressing a BJP election meeting at Chogan Maidan in Chamba, he said that during earlier era, Chief Ministers kept pleading with Delhi to build roads but the Congress governments did not pay heed.
Earlier governments built 7,000 km of roads in Himachal Pradesh in 67 years. The BJP government has built 12,000 km of rural roads in eight years, he said.
He laid the foundation stone for three hydropower projects including 180 MW at Bajoli, 48 MW at Chanju and 30.5 MW at Dayothal Chanju Hydro Electric Project in Chamba district. (UNI)
